Greetings fellow Skålleagues!

It is my absolute pleasure and privilege to join the National Board, and thank you for your trust and support in electing me as Vice President. I am very excited for the year ahead!

In my new role, I will be overseeing the portfolio of Industry Engagement and Events.

Under the events banner, I will serve as the primary point of contact and support for our clubs taking on the massive task (equal parts challenging and rewarding!) of hosting our upcoming National Assemblies. As proven at our recent weekend in WA (huge thank you, Team Perth) our national events are an incredible opportunity to connect with members across the country, collaborate with local industry authorities, show off our respective hometowns, and foster the camaraderie that is the very essence of Skål.

Cultivating relationships between Skål (at both national and local level) and our greater tourism industry is a key driver for our success. Through strategic engagement with travel and tourism authorities and other associations, we can strengthen the credibility and relevance of Skål to increase value, boost membership and secure the future of our association.

In the coming weeks, I will be reaching out to the Club delegates to open up conversations around ways we can grow each clubs' relationships with local/state tourism bodies and groups to encourage greater involvement across the industry (and the community), and to help raise the profile of Skål and of our incredible members.
