Greetings fellow Skålleagues!

May is an exciting time for our industry with Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE) - our largest annual travel and tourism B2B event - happening this month. This year, Melbourne will play host and as a Melburnian myself, I can't wait to welcome industry friends, and most importantly, fellow Skål members to our city.

One of the greatest benefits of being a member of Skål International, is that you are connected to over 12,000 industry professionals throughout the globe, and close to 1,000 right here in Australia! We know how brilliant it is when we get in a room with our people, and what a powerful message it sends to our industry when we are united under the Skål banner.

These major events are of course, about business. But they also provide a bonus opportunity to connect with interstate Skålleagues, and to strengthen our profile within the greater tourism industry. We encourage local clubs, where possible, to arrange Skål monthly meetings to coincide with major events in your hometown, or arrange casual 'Skål Meets' to give members the chance to catch up informally.

ATE24 is being held at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre (South Wharf). President of Skål Melbourne, Rich Kellaway has happily agreed to host a casual get together on the Sunday after ATE registration. If you are in the area, come along to Boat Builders Yard. For those who may be attending ATE for the first time - this is a reminder that we are all about 'doing business amongst friends' - even if you are travelling alone, you most certainly are not alone!

All the details are in the invite inside this newsletter. Please RSVP (for numbers) here: https://www.trybooking.com/CRPBN (There is no charge to attend, all food and drink can be purchased directly at the bar).

Yours in Skål,
