Australian Club of the Year Award
The Australian Club of the Year Award is an annual recognition given to a club for their exceptional commitment to the values of Skål having met all the award criteria
The recipient of the Club of the Year Award is announced annually at the Australian AGM & National Assembly.
Award Criteria
Clubs who have met the following criteria will considered for the Australian Club of the Year Award.
Club / National Assemblies / World Congress
The Club must have been in operation for more than one year and attended both National Assemblies with an active involvement and contribution to the meeting. Clubs must also have had a voting delegate attend 3 of the previous 5 World Congresses.
National Payments
The Club must have all National payments paid and received by the due date.
International Payments
The Club must have all International payments paid and received by the due date.
Membership
Membership number retention on the previous year. Membership growth is not paramount, but considered favourable. The Club must have finalised their membership renewals by the due date.
AGM Documentation
All AGM documentation and financials to be sent to the National Secretary before the end of April. Club Committee changes to be actioned with Skål International by due date.
Business & Succession Planning
Operates with an effective business and succession plan at club level demonstrating the profile and professionalism of Skål International Australia.
Monthly Meetings
Creativity in organising monthly Club meetings.
Industry/Community Involvement
Club demonstrates an active involvement within the industry/community providing financial/non-financial support of local programs and charities.
Florimond Volckaert & Membership Development Fund
Clubs have donated to both Skål International funds.
Sustainable Practices
Evidence Clubs actively participates in sustainable projects and initiatives and promotes sustainable outcomes. Club participation in Skål International Sustainable Tourism Awards.
