Skål International Tampa Bay Events

Skål International Tampa Bay held their September Meeting at Island Way Grill in Clearwater Beach, Florida.

Clearwater is home to award-winning sugar sand beaches and legendary sunsets, making it a must-visit area for tourists to the Tampa Bay Area and an excellent backdrop for this event.

Island Way Grill, run by Baystar Restaurant Group and owned by Frank Chivas, a local to the area, is known for his fleet of dayboats that deliver the finest and freshest Seafood to the area. Island Way Grill is famous for its fine dining and a prime location right on Clearwater Bay. Guests can enjoy looking out on the bay while dining and might even catch a manatee or dolphin in the blue waters.

The private dining area hosted the Skål International event, and despite some late-day rain, the atmosphere was festive as appetizers were passed and members caught up. Once seated, the guests were served Filet Mignon with Red Wine Demi, Grilled Asparagus, and Island Mashed Potatoes. In the spirit of having a strong membership base in Tampa Bay, several members brought new guests, including Clearwater Marine Aquarium, which had two new Young Skål candidates. Additionally, new member Stephanie Cantrell, Where Magazine representative for Tampa Bay, was pinned during dinner.

While guests enjoyed the final course, Butter Cake with Rum Sauce and Vanilla Ice cream, raffle winners were announced. The Skål International Tampa Bay members are incredible in providing the very best prices from their organizations, which always makes for an exciting end to the evening.
