Communications, P.R. & Media
Dear Skålleagues,
Effective communication is vital for the success of any organisation, and Skål is no exception. Especially at an individual level, leveraging social media platforms is essential for sharing important news, engaging with other members, and fostering stronger connections within the Skål community. By engaging through social media with your own Club, as well as with Skål Australia and other Skål Clubs around the world, you will remain informed and involved, and gain the most from your Skål membership.
One of the primary functions of social media and the Club websites is to disseminate essential information about Skål. Recent initiatives, such as the new Skål Australia membership videos, require a broad and effective reach to maximise awareness and impact. By strategically sharing these materials across social media platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram, you can help attract potential members and showcase the benefits of Skål membership. Building a stronger and broader Skål community will benefit all members, as we come together as members of the global tourism and travel industry.
Every Skål Club organises events and initiatives that contribute to the overall growth of Skål worldwide. Whether it’s networking functions, charity initiatives, or industry events, sharing these activities online increases visibility and fosters greater participation. Posting event highlights and photos on social media helps celebrate achievements and encourages members to stay actively engaged. This is not something that has to be left up to your Club Committee – why not post your own photos and tag your Club to help spread the word!
Social media provides an interactive platform where members can communicate, ask questions, and share insights in real time. It enables Skålleagues from different Clubs to connect, exchange ideas, and collaborate on projects. Active engagement is key to a thriving Skål community. By consistently engaging with content, liking, sharing, and commenting, members can contribute to a vibrant and dynamic online presence that attracts more interest in Skål.
We encourage all Skålleagues to promote their participation in Skål activities within their own networks and help support other members to remain informed, connected, and inspired and encourage new members to join our global community.
Yours in Skål,
Melinda Brown
