Dear Skålleagues,
As we approach the end of 2024, I’ve taken some time to reflect on the incredible achievements, initiatives, and stories shared across Skål Australia over the course of this year. Our Clubs have been vibrant hubs of activity, showcasing the power of our network and the spirit of “Doing Business Among Friends.”
One of the greatest joys of my role is seeing the diverse stories that emerge from our Clubs. Whether it’s a special event, a community initiative, or a member’s professional milestone, these stories not only connect us but also inspire others. When Clubs share their activities, they highlight the breadth of our membership and the richness of experiences Skål offers. This is not only fascinating to fellow Skålleagues but also compelling to potential new members, showing them the many ways they can connect, contribute, and grow through Skål. Keep tagging and sharing your Skål moments—it’s these stories that inspire others to join and grow our network.
Sharing your news isn’t just about celebrating success—it’s about building a stronger Skål. Every event, meeting, or milestone shared helps demonstrate the depth of our network and the dynamic activities happening in every corner of the country. From charity golf days to industry guest speakers, from awards to local community projects, every story reflects the values and diversity of our organisation.
To make the most of these opportunities, I encourage all Clubs to send in their news regularly. These updates don’t just inform—they inspire, attract, and build engagement. The more we share, the more vibrant and visible our community becomes, reinforcing Skål’s reputation as a global leader in tourism and hospitality.
As we gear up for the festive season, I encourage all Clubs to share their end-of-year celebrations with us through social media as well as through the next newsletter. The December newsletter will be our final edition for 2024, and we’d love to feature how your Club is embracing the holiday spirit. Whether it’s a Christmas lunch, a charity drive, or a special gathering, these stories bring warmth to our network and highlight the unique ways Skålleagues celebrate together.
Let’s finish the year on a high note as we look forward to an even brighter 2025. Keep your stories coming—we can’t wait to see what your Clubs have planned for Christmas!
Yours in Skål,
Melinda Brown
