Dear Skålleagues,

With the registrations now open for the National Assembly in Cairns on the 6th & 7th of September, it is a great opportunity to be reminded about some of the great opportunities for ‘doing business amongst friends’

Launched in Perth we now see the Industry Panel return which this time will include topical speakers sharing their views, involvement and suggestions on ‘Sustainable Tourism’.  This hot topic has seen great exposure over the last few years and will become more important as we navigate the concerns from travellers and customers focusing on their impact on the environment.

The Skål Business Expo is a great member benefit where all costs are covered for you to set up and share your business or company offerings.  Nothing says ‘doing business amongst friends’ like sharing a space with fellow Skålleagues and taking advantage of like-minded colleagues ready to interact and set up connections.

The National Assembly will include open discussions, impassioned ideas and a focus on membership to ensure the continual growth of our clubs and networking opportunities.  We want to welcome all club representatives but also as many members as we can to engage in the meeting to ensure a focused outcome and great takeaways for all to work on.

And finally, don’t forget the amazing Gala Dinner that is planned!  Time to let your hair down and celebrate all that it means to be a Skålleague; friendships & business connections.

So many times, I hear from those attending that they forget about the wide spread of our members and also the opportunities that present themselves after a great weekend of networking.  I personally know of ways that I have been able to include Skål members within my business and I always love hearing stories of connections made at these events.

With Skål Cairns pulling out all the stops for this weekend and the 100 strong local members ready to welcome us to the sunny state, I absolutely know it will

be one of the great memorable events to attend.  So don’t hesitate, take the weekend off and join us in Cairns in September…you won’t regret it.

See you soon.
